  5. What are waterslide decals?

  6. A waterslide decal is a transfer printed onto a special paper that will allow your design to slide off the paper when submersed in water. Waterslide decals are considered an indirect decorating process because the enamels are printed flat onto the transfer paper before being applied onto the product.

  7. What are the applications of your waterslide decals?

  8. Ceramic decals can be fired onto stoneware, bone china, and porcelain (lamps, mugs, college steins, souvenir/collector plates, ashtrays, tap handles, tiles, etc). Glass decals are for soda lime glassware (drink ware) and borosilicate (pyrex) glass (beer steins, wine glass/flutes, tiffany lamps, bottles, test tubes, glass mugs,etc).

  9. What temperature are these decals fired at?

  10. Ceramic decals are fired at 750 - 850 degrees Celsius (1390 - 1575 degrees Fahrenheit), recommended cone: 017. Glass decals are fired at two firing temperatures.

  11. What factors are associated with the costing of decals?

  12. The cost of a decal will depend on the number of colors to be printed, the size of the image, and the quantity required. Additional charges to consider are artwork/film charges, shipping and taxes.

  16. Our minimum order quantity per design is 72 pieces. We also print name drops (town names) and backstamps, with a minimum quantity of 200 pieces per name.

  20. Town names are the names of cities, towns or events that can be printed and be applied to existing stock designs.

  26. Decal Craft designs stock decals which can be easily transformed into an exclusive souvenir design for a particular event or location. Refer to our online catalog for samples of our current designs.

  28. A printed catalog is not available because Decal Craft is mainly a custom decal manufacturer.
